Rental Suite Available on Farm in Maple Ridge

General Farm Description: Our farm is 17 acres and surrounded by forests.  The farm has approx 8 acres of cleared pasture area.  We were a certified organic vegetable farm and also raise sheep. We still grow an abundance of vegetables and garlic and would offer garden space to a tenant for their own use if desired. Check out our website at www.gustogarlic.com for more information and pictures of the farm.  We will only accept a tenant who is animal friendly and seeks a quiet friendly environment.

Rental Suite Description: The 900 square foot rental suite is located above a concrete barn and is detached and a fair distance from the house in which we reside.  It is suitable for a single person or a couple.  As the suite is up a flight of stairs the suite is not suitable for children.  The barn is concrete and no longer used for animals and is kept clean.

The suite consists of a combined living /kitchen space, separate bedroom, bathroom and separate utility room with washer and dryer.  Additional storage space is also availble. The rent includes water and hydro utilities.  We  have a cable feed to the suite and free tv is currently available.  Internet is not included in the rent, although we can offer free access to our wifi if this is suitable for your use. We have parking for two vehicles.

Pet Friendly:  We will accept a larger dog and/or a cat.  We have a very friendly lab/husky dog that is well trained and is loose on the property during the daytime.  He is trained and never leaves the property.  Your dog could be welcome to be out freely during the day as well.  We interview prospective dogs as well as the tenants.  We will not accept a dog that are of an aggressive nature or breed or well behaved.

Farm Help and Assistance:  We travel to Alberta 1-2 times a year to visit family and a winter getaway of up to 2 weeks in the winter.  We require a tenant that is willing to look after our animals and farm if we are travelling, and we provide compensation when this help is provided.

Restrictions: We will not accept smokers, motorcycles or noisy vehicles.
